Booking a month or more in a city you've never seen is a gamble. Every high-rise listing in Kuala Lumpur (KL) shows the same rooftop infinity pool and the same skyline at sunset. What the photos don't show is what it's like on day 40: whether the lifts work at dinnertime, whether anyone changes the towels, and whether you can sleep.

In this guide 10 sections
Cream and I took that gamble with Ceylonz Suites. We booked a studio for three months, sight unseen, which was a first for us. It became our home base for our three months living in KL, from February to May 2026.
Some of it was better than the photos. Some of it wore on us. This is our honest Ceylonz Suites review, from people who did the laundry runs, waited for the lifts, and woke up to that view every day.

Is Ceylonz Suites Worth It? My Quick Answer
Ceylonz Suites gets a 7/10 from us. The view of the forest, the KL Tower, and the Petronas Towers was the highlight of our stay, the rooftop pool, gym, and garden were a pleasure to use, and you get high-rise apartment life with the convenience of a hotel. Points come off for the noise from short-stay guests, the slow lifts and, in our unit, no cleaning or towels for three months.
For a visitor staying a few nights to a couple of weeks, it's an easy pick. We wouldn't book it again ourselves, but only because we now know we want to live closer to The Exchange TRX.

The View: The Best Part of Living at Ceylonz
From our studio we could see the forest, the KL Tower, and the Petronas Towers all at once. Seeing that every day was the highlight of the whole stay, and it changed all day long: orange and pink at sunrise, the Petronas Towers sharp in the daylight, dark when an afternoon storm rolled in over the tower, and lit up at night.

Even from inside the studio, the windows were full of green from the forest across the street, with the towers rising behind it.

The afternoon storms are a normal part of life in KL. If you're planning around the weather, which months bring the storms has a guide of its own.
The forest you see from Ceylonz Suites is KL Forest Eco Park, the old Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, a patch of rainforest right in the middle of the city that was first protected in 1906.3 We walked over to it during our stay.
The monkeys were the surprise. They live in that forest, right across the street from the building. One day we stepped outside just as a group was crossing, and we could see them moving above our heads. It's not something you expect from an apartment a short walk from a shopping mall.

Our Studio at Ceylonz Suites
Our unit was a studio with a king bed, a couch, and a small kitchen area. The bed was hard, but somehow it was so comfy. The air conditioning was great, which matters a lot in KL's heat, and the bathroom and shower were good.

Two small things took some getting used to. The shower water had to be preheated before you could use it, and the unit had a lot of energy-saving switches. Once we learned the routine it was fine, and we thought the energy-saving setup was cool.
The kitchen is small. It's fine for coffee and boiling eggs, but in KL eating out or ordering in is cheaper and easier than cooking anyway.
Working From the Studio
We work from wherever we live, and we prefer that to coworking spaces because we talk a lot while we work. The Wi-Fi at Ceylonz was great for that.
Space was the issue. Our studio had one chair with a built-in desk, which only works for one person. One of us got the desk and the other worked from the couch, which at least faced the windows.

If you're two remote workers, ask the host whether the unit has a table and two chairs before you book.
If you'd rather work outside your unit, the building has a business lounge on the 36th floor.

The Rooftop: Pool, Gym, and Gardens
Most of the shared spaces are at the top of the building. The directory in the lift lobby lays it out: the sports and business lounges on 36, the sky pool and gym on 37, more gym space and a yoga area on 38, and the sky garden and barbecue pavilion on 39. The pocket gardens are lower down, on floors 13, 19, 25, and 31.

The Infinity Pool
The rooftop infinity pool is the reason most people book Ceylonz Suites, and it lives up to the photos. The KL Tower sits right behind it.

It's also the most photographed spot in the building. Because so many guests stay only a night or two, there were photo shoots at the pool a lot of the time. The pool was emptiest early in the morning, so that's when to swim if you want it to yourself. You need your key card to get into the main pool area.
The Gym
The gym was great, with good views of the city while you work out.

The Pocket Gardens
The pocket gardens were one of the loveliest parts of living at Ceylonz. They're small open-air gardens on floors 13, 19, 25, and 31, and they're surrounded by greenery. Best of all, they were usually empty.
While the rooftop was busy with guests and photo shoots, we'd often have a pocket garden all to ourselves. One of them had bodyweight exercise equipment, and I ended up using that one more than the main gym.

What we missed was a sauna. Ceylonz doesn't have one, and after a pool, a sauna is what we look for most in a building.
The Rooftop Garden
The rooftop garden was a nice place to have a coffee, or to eat a Grab delivery with a view instead of at the kitchen counter. It even has swinging chairs, which were so nice to sit in.

Day-to-Day Life at Ceylonz Suites
Check-in was at the front counter. I gave my name and they handed over a key and two cards: one for the lifts and one for the room. The building has a front desk running around the clock, according to one of its operators.1

Laundry was one of the best surprises. Our studio had no washing machine, but the building has a laundry service: you drop your clothes off in the morning and pick them up folded in the evening. It cost a few dollars each time.
Water and snacks were easy, because there's a small convenience store in the building. We'd just go down for water whenever we ran out.

What We Didn't Love
No Cleaning and No Towels
This was the one that bothered us most. Our monthly Airbnb had no cleaning for the entire three months, and no towels either. We washed our own towels the whole time.
For a three-month stay at this price, we think cleaning should have been included. Ceylonz Suites is rented out by several operators and many private hosts, so this depends on who you book with. Ask about cleaning and towels before you book a long stay.
The Short-Stay Crowd and the Noise
Ceylonz Suites feels more like a hotel than an apartment building. A lot of guests stay one or two nights, so there are always new people, groups, and suitcases in the halls, and it got loud.
It was at its worst over Chinese New Year, when large groups came in for a few days and the building was packed. It calmed down afterwards. If you're booking for that holiday, expect a busy building.
The Lifts
There are four lifts, and they back up at check-in and check-out times and on weekends. That made Grab food delivery a chore. Drivers don't leave food in the lobby, so I had to meet each one downstairs, and sometimes I left the studio 15 to 20 minutes before the driver arrived just to get through the wait for the lift.

One Night of Road Construction
Early in our stay, crews tore up the entire road outside one night. It was loud and it was only one night, but if you're a light sleeper, earplugs are worth packing for any city-center stay in KL.
The Location: Bukit Bintang Without the Traffic Jam

Ceylonz Suites is at 3 Persiaran Raja Chulan, on the edge of the Bukit Bintang area.1 It's a 39-storey building that opened in 2020.2 The big plus is that it sits just outside the worst of the traffic, so getting a Grab in and out wasn't bad, which isn't true of everywhere in central KL.
It's also close to the mall area. On foot, we went to:
- Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, the big mall in the middle of Bukit Bintang.
- Jalan Alor, KL's best-known night food street, a good first stop for the dishes you can't leave KL without trying.
- The Petronas Towers and KLCC.
- KL Forest Eco Park, right across the street.
You can walk, but in KL's heat Grab is so cheap and easy that we usually rode (more in our guide to getting around Kuala Lumpur). Our favorite outing, a movie at Aurum Theatre in The Exchange TRX, was always a Grab ride from Ceylonz.
Tip
Grab is how you'll get around from Ceylonz Suites, and you'll want it working the minute you land. Set up an eSIM before your flight so you can book your first ride from the airport.
We used Airalo in Malaysia. You can get an Airalo eSIM before you land and have data running on arrival.

Who Should Book Ceylonz Suites, and Who Should Skip It
Book it if you're in KL for a few nights to a couple of weeks and you want the view, the rooftop pool, and a central location. You get high-rise apartment living with hotel-style convenience, and the short-stay crowd matters less when you're one of them. See prices at Ceylonz Suites for your dates.
Think twice if you're staying a month or more and want a quiet, residential building, if you need daily or weekly cleaning, or if two of you work full time from the unit. In those cases, check the exact listing carefully, or look at buildings with more long-term residents.
We enjoyed our three months here. We just know what we want next time: a quieter, more residential building closer to The Exchange TRX.
Our Verdict on Ceylonz Suites
Ceylonz Suites is a 7/10: an unbeatable view, a rooftop that earns its photos, and enough hotel-style friction that it suits a short stay better than a long one. If the infinity pool is what drew you to KL listings in the first place, this is a great place to get it. And if you're still deciding on the city itself, here's whether Kuala Lumpur is worth visiting.
